Seychelles – A Travel Destination For Everyone

With its pristine white beaches and luxury hotels, a holiday in the Seychelles may seem like the boring trip you will ever make right? Wrong. With activities to cater to everyone from the moody teenager to the laid back grandparents, the Seychelles is truly a travel destination for everyone.

You can scuba dive during tour stay in the Seychelles or better yet, go on long hikes in the luscious national parks found all over the country. Mission at Sans Souci on Mahe Island is a learning curve for those who may be vaguely acquainted with the colonial past of the islands. The impressively green back drop to the serene spot found on Mahe, boasts a great view of neighbouring islands like Ste Anne.

If you are visiting the area with a relatively large group, watching the sunset from the kiosk built on the former Venn’s town is breathtaking to say the least. For the younger crowd, the hotels such as Beau Vallon Bay are known to hold live shows with all the latest hits and local releases being played there. Your night may start there and ends at the various discos in Victoria. At 2 in the morning you may wish to try the pirate taxi (minicab) to get back to your hotel.

If your teenagers are happily over 18 they can also pay for a short cab ride down the road to tequila boom nightclub; which believe it or not offers a Middle Eastern flavour to the clubbing experience in the Seychelles. As is the case with all the local dance clubs in Seychelles smart casual wear is an essential to get in, most establishments have a strictly no-trainers policy in place though.

For those wanting to do away with all the noise and bright lights of European cities, the Seychelles is the place where you can safely stroll on the beach and enjoy the glorious full moon, adding the perfect back-drop for a romantic evening.

The Seychelles still has some buildings left from the colonial era, there waiting to be explored by those fascinated by history. Thirty two of these building are preserved in their natural state forever holding their colonial past, architecture and way of life. These building are known as national monuments. Going to Victoria is a must for any visitor, the smallest capital on the planet. There are several national monuments in Victoria not to miss out the Victoria market on a Saturday morning.

Activity wise, the Seychelles is perfect for big game fishing – which is only natural considering that the Seychelles is an archipelago. Scuba diving is also quite popular as the Seychelles underwater world is as exciting as it is diverse. You can sail, live aboard for a few days. So Seychelles is a destination for everyone as it offers sun, pristine beaches and the great nightlife as well.
